Free Push Hands in the afternoon

Free push hands will take place every day from 15.00 to 17.45. There is an introductory section for beginners in which the basics of push hands are taught. During the free push hands the space is divided into an area for beginners and one for the more experienced. A round of push hands lasts 10 minutes. Before each round you should agree with your partner about how you want to practice push hands. We would like to encourage beginners to take part. Don't worry, just try it!

Qi Gong

From 16 to 18 of February, Ronnie Robinson will be offering Qi Gong to give you a relaxing start to the day. Each session is from 08:45 to 9:30.

Calligraphy

Wang Ning – calligrapher, seal cutter, translator and Tai Chi teacher – will be giving a number of lectures that provide an introduction to calligraphy. Because special materials are required ("the four treasures of the study room" = brush, ink, paper, rubbing stone), participants are asked to pay a once- only charge of 35 euros to help cover expenses. The number of participants is limited, so we request all those interested in taking part to register beforehand.

Accommodation

You can sleep in the Tai Chi Studio or the Kunsthalle events hall for 2 euros/night if you bring your own sleeping mat and sleeping bag. Shower facilities are available. Addresses of various hotels and B&B´s will be posted on the website from October onwards.

Prices (Euro)

1 day 55,- 4 days 190,- 7 days 310,-
2 days 100,- 5 days 230,- 8 days 350,-
3 days 150,- 6 days 270,- 9 days 380,-

During this meeting, Café Kargah will unfortunately not be providing lunch for us. However, there are numerous inexpensive cafés, pubs, fast-food restaurants and supermarkets in the direct vicinity of the Tai Chi Studio, so that you can easily arrange your own meals.
